Using our own CNC machined leaded bronze insert. we helical interpolate a new repair thread into the head aswell as machining the exhaust gasket seating face and then we fit and lock our inserts into the head. The new thread is then machined into the insert to fit the new rose nut exactly.Due to the nature of CNC thread milling,the two threads are coincidental. In real terms this provides a very strong and wear resistant high expansion insert which also has a very thin wall thickness.Incuded in the price is any remedial welding where poor attempts have been made to secure previous inserts or the rose nuts. Also a pair of genuine Norton Rose nuts to suit yourself and or your model and year.(please email your prefernces) the head will be also cleaned and AQUA BLASTED prior to machining.
we have perfected this repair and believe it to be a very reliable and long lasting solution to the Exhaust thread failure.
This repair is compatible with all the Norton Twins and can be applied to the singles aswell.
